Easy Vegan Air Fry Mini Pizzas

Mini pizzas made from scratch in under 20 minutes. With just two ingredients for the dough, these little pizzas come together so easily, and they are ideal for busy weeknights, lunchboxes, or a fun weekend activity. Fry's Smoked Hot Dogs are a go-to favourite beloved by meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. They're versatile, easy to cook, and pair well with just about everything. Finish with fresh basil, cherry tomatoes, and a drizzle of pesto for a meal that looks far more impressive than the effort involved. The bases also freeze beautifully, making them a brilliant make-ahead option to keep on hand.

Serves: 8 mini pizzas

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 Fry’s Smoked Hot Dogs, prepared according to pack instructions
  • 2 cups self-raising flour, plus an extra ½ cup for dusting
  • 1¼ cups vegan yoghurt
  • 200 g tomato passata or pizza sauce
  • 160 g grated vegan mozzarella
  • 100 g cherry tomatoes, halved

Toppings of Your Choice

  • 5 g fresh basil
  • 1 Tbsp basil pesto
  • ½ avocado, sliced

Quick option: You can use store-bought, ready-made bread dough for an even quicker fix.

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour and yoghurt together until they come together to form a dough. The dough should be pliable and stretchy, not sticky. If it is sticky, add a little more flour.
  2. Divide the dough into 8 equal balls.
  3. Sprinkle flour onto a work surface and flatten each ball using your hands or a rolling pin.
  4. Place the mini pizza bases, 4 at a time, into the air fryer at 180°C for 6 minutes, turning halfway. Repeat with the remaining 4 bases. You may be able to cook more or less at a time depending on the size of your air fryer.
  5. Top each par-cooked base with tomato passata, vegan mozzarella, sliced Fry’s Smoked Hot Dogs, fresh basil and cherry tomatoes.
  6. Return the pizzas to the air fryer and cook at 200°C for 4 minutes.
  7. Serve straight from the air fryer, finished with your desired fresh toppings. We used a drizzle of basil pesto, sliced avocado and fresh basil.

Hot tip! These pizza bases freeze beautifully. If you’re making them ahead of time, prepare the recipe up until step 5, then top with tomato sauce, vegan mozzarella and Fry’s Smoked Hot Dogs. Place the pizzas on parchment paper on a baking tray and freeze. Once frozen, transfer them to a ziplock bag and store in the freezer for a quick and easy meal or snack.
