These Asian Chick’n Lettuce Cups use our versatile and delicious Plant-Based Home Style Burgers. Ingredients

Peanut Satay Sauce

  • ¼ cup coconut milk
  • ¼ cup smooth peanut butter
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1–2 tsp hot sauce (optional)
  • ½ tsp ground garlic
  • Zest and juice of 1 lime

Home Style Burgers & Toppings

  • 1 box Fry’s Plant-Based Home Style Burgers
  • 200 g butter lettuce leaves, separated and washed
  • 1 cup shredded purple cabbage
  • 1 carrot, peeled into thin ribbons
  • 2 spring onions, sliced
  • ½ cup mixed sprouts
  • ½ cup peanuts, toasted
  • 2 limes, quartered
  • Sliced spring onion greens, for garnish

Method

Peanut Satay Sauce

  1. Place all sauce ingredients into a small pot over medium heat and stir until melted and well combined.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. If thickened, loosen with a tablespoon or two of water or coconut milk.
  3. Adjust heat with extra hot sauce if desired.

Home Style Burgers

  1. Cook Fry’s Plant-Based Home Style Burgers according to pack instructions until golden and crisp. Allow to cool slightly, then slice into strips.
  2. Arrange butter lettuce leaves on a platter to form cup shapes. Fill each leaf with shredded cabbage, carrot ribbons, and spring onions.
  3. Top with sliced burger pieces, sprouts, and toasted peanuts.
  4. Serve with peanut satay sauce and lime wedges, or drizzle sauce over cups just before serving.
