Fry’s Chick’n Sweet Potato Waffle with Chilli Maple

Chicken style strips on a plate

 1 pack of Fry’s Chicken Style Strips
 2 tbsp Cornflour
 A little oil for frying
For the waffle batter:
 250 g Sweet potato (or two sweet potatoes), cooked
 2 tbsp Baking powder
 140 g Oats
 140 g Plain flour
 A pinch of salt
 2 tsp Ground cinnamon
 240 ml Plant milk
 A little coconut oil for frying
For the maple chilli sauce:
 4 tbsp Maple syrup
 1 tsp chilli flakes
 A sprinkle of sea salt

Combine all ingredients for the waffle batter in a blender until smooth. Heat and grease the waffle maker and make three large waffles from it.


Coat the chicken style strips in a little cornflour and crispy fry them in hot oil in a non-stick frying pan.


Combine the maple syrup with the chilli and a sprinkle of sea salt in a small jug


Serve the waffles hot, topped with the crispy chicken style strips and drizzle with the chilli maple sauce
