OUR STORY

Fry’s started around a family table. When Debbie, a lifelong vegetarian, and Wally, a devoted meat-eater, raised their daughter Tammy, the question of “what’s on the plate” sparked change.
With curiosity and love, they began experimenting in their kitchen — turning simple recipes into something bigger: a family business making plant-based food for everyone to enjoy.

The idea was simple: create nutritious food for our family, who were passionate about plant-based eating. Back in 1991, most people thought we were crazy — “Plants that look and taste
like meat, made in your kitchen!?” Maybe we were. But with passion and determination, that “crazy” idea became Fry’s.
